Chest Freezer
Freezers That Make You Cool
2009-04-28
Would you find it believable that long ago people had to travel miles to visit an ice-ream factory in case they wanted to have an ice cream? That's because no arrangements were available to transfer and keep it in a frozen state, there was no chest freezers then. With technological developments came in freezers that not only store ice creams but also provide much more convenience to the housewife. Now you can make ice at home to better enjoy your drinks and sodas. Ice is also a helpful first aid material. Frozen cold packs can be preserved for picnics and emergencies. Above all, freezing helps to economize the purchase of edibles. Now you can buy those in bulk, thus lowering the expense and consume these items at leisure as and when the need arises.

Most of the manufacturers of domestic appliances produce chest freezers. But if you are looking for a Liebherr freezer, there are quite a few models to choose from. All of the Liebherr chest freezers qualify for an energy efficiency of class A+.  That not only saves money but also keeps a check on levels of carbon emissions. Energy consumption is very moderate from 215.4 kWh to 408 kWh in 365 days. Keeping in mind the present day environmental issues and the continuously increasing cost of fuel with the resultant rise in the cost of almost everything, it is imperative to be energy conscious and not to waste it.

Liebherr cheap chest freezers come in varied sizes to suit the size of space available in your kitchen. Model GTL4905 is meant for commercial applications with a gross capacity of 485 liters. This is available in white color only. It comes with a static cooling system and has to be defrosted manually. But that is not much of an issue as all machines from Liebherr are provided with the "Stop Frost" system that keeps the frosting to a very nominal level within the chest freezer as well on the frozen food. This reduces the frequency of defrosting to a great extent. The Stop Frost device governs the vacuum in the chest too. That ensures convenient opening of the freezer all the time. . It offers a temperature range of -14 o Celsius to -26 o Celsius. The other features include a mechanical control system and an external analogue temperature display.

The domestic models of Liebherr chest freezers are far smaller in size and capacity. Nevertheless, these models are also provided with the Stop Frost system to facilitate infrequent defrosting and general convenience of use. The domestic chest freezers have a capacity ranging from 199 to 572 liters, depending the model of your choice. Their height varies from 153.8cm and 166.5cm, whereas width ranges from 83.7cm to 164.7cm.

GTS 2112, a small chest freezer comes with a mechanical control system and an optical warning signal to indicate a malfunctioning of system.
